The court case being conducted by Channel 7 and Kerry Stokes against 22 leading media, telco and sporting bodies has reached a crucial stage. The Judge is concerned at the cost of the case and has urged mediation particularly between Seven and the sporting organisations. He has also raised whether the expert witness valuations are based on established facts in the case and questioned the publishing of an article critical of a witness in one of the defendants newspapers.
Peter Cox has been attending the court case and receives the transcripts each night of the days hearings.
Peter has written a brief introduction and update on the case including an allegory with the famous movie "High Noon".
He has looked at the extraordinary backgrounds of two of the most intellectually gifted major players, Justice Ron Sackville and Jonathan Sumption QC for Seven.
Cox Media has aggregated much of the publicly avaliable information on the case including the cast, plot, legal issues and newspaper and TV coverage.
